OVM is excited to offer a new, state-of-the-art Aquatic Therapy service to Brown County and the surrounding areas.

WHAT IS AQUATIC THERAPY?

Aquatic Therapy is a rehabilitation that is performed in the water. The hydrostatic pressure and buoyancy of the water provide decreased pressure on bones and joints, allowing the patient to move with greater ease and support.

AQUATIC POOL FEATURES:

  • Moveable floor that allows patients to simply walk or be wheeled onto the floor and then lowered to any depth within the pool

  • Warm water atmosphere to promote circulation and relaxation of joints/muscles

  • Resistance jet technology to facilitate optimal strengthening

  • Underwater treadmill

  • Computer and camera systems to view underwater movement patterns
