1.      Are there any restrictions on visitors or visiting hours? 
  No.  Visitors of all ages are always welcomed!

 

2.      Can I bring my pet to visit? 
  Yes.  Pets on a leash or carried in your arms are permitted. 

3.  Who can help me with a question about a bill?

4.       Do Medicare or Medicaid cover any of the cost of a patient's care?
Ohio Valley Manor is a certified provider for both Medicare and Medicaid.  If your family member meets the qualifying criteria for these programs according to state and federal quidelines, payment can be made.  Our Admissions Office can assist you in determining eligibility prior to admission to the facility.  Click Here to contact  Admissions. 

5.  My family member is a Diabetic and has very distinct food preferences.  Who can help me with this? 
All Ohio Valley Manor patients and residents receive a personal interview regarding their food likes and   dislikes upon admission.  All meals are planned by a Registered Dietitian in line with special diet needs, and a Certified Dietary Manager oversees our food services program.  Click Here to contact Ohio Valley Manor's Dietary Services Manager. 


6.  What are your room rates?

        Ohio Valley Manor's various healthcare units have different daily rates.  To obtain specific rate information, please contact Admissions by clicking Here.

7.  What will my long-term care insurance cover?

          Long-term care insurance policies vary, so please consult your insurance company's representative to determine your specific coverage.  

8.  How do I choose between the various types of care units?  How do I know what is appropriate for my family member?

       Ohio Valley Manor's Admissions nurses will help you determine what type of care setting would best meet the needs and preferences of your family member as a part of the pre-admission assessment process. 

9.  Is there a waiting list?

     At times, Ohio Valley Manor does have waiting lists for specific accommodations; however, this doesn't necessarily mean that there is no availability.  A family may be waiting for an opening on a particular unit for their family member (for example: an Alzheimer's patient awaiting a room on Willow Hall), while other openings may exist.  It is best to call the Admissions Office to inquire about your specific need.

10.  Is this facility part of a corporate chain headquartered elsewhere? 

           No.  Ohio Valley Manor is now and has always been locally owned by a small group of private investors who live in and around the Brown County area.
