Ohio Valley Manor's Ladies Blue Hat Society is requesting donations of household goods, clothing, money and other useful items on behalf of Alley Young, an OVM Dietary employee whose home and its contents were recently destroyed by fire.

Our Activities Department staff has been busily preparing many special activities for our residents and patients... Christmas Movies, Christmas Craft-Making Classes, Popcorn Stringing, Christmas Parties and even Christmas Bingo! 

On Wednesday, December 16th, at 7:00 P.M., join them as they welcome the Ripley Church of Christ Choir for their annual Christmas Concert.

Please plan to join us on Sunday, Dec. 13, 1:30 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. for our annual celebration.  Stroll through the building and see our beautiful Christmas decorations, then enjoy delicious, seasonal refreshments with your family member or friend. 

Be sure to stop by and visit with Santa before you leave!

Black Friday Shop 'Til You Drop, sponsored by Ohio Valley Manor's Activities Department, is planned for Friday, November 27th.  Your donations of gently used clothing, books, CDs, movies, knickknacks, jewelry and other items are still needed and will gladly be accepted by any Activities staff member.  Recycle your unwanted items!

Ohio Valley Manor's Blue Hat Women's Group is soliciting donations for their annual Winter Drive, including canned goods, winter coats and gloves.  Donations made be given to any member of the Activities staff by Saturday, November 21st.  These items will be given to community members in need.

Stop by any Tuesday between 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM and meet two of our most popular volunteers, Kay Miller and her canine companion, Dusty.  Dusty is a trained therapy dog and helps spread a little sunshine into the lives of patients, residents, staff and visitors every week!

We apologize, but OVM will not be holding its annual on-site Halloween Trick or Treat event this year.  It has been cancelled for the safety of our residents and staff due to the increased risk of spreading the flu virus and other seasonal illnesses.

Join us on Monday, October 12th, for a full day of Fall Festival Fun at Ohio Valley Manor.  Enter the chili cook-off, cake contest or pumpkin decorating contest along with an assortment of fun games for residents, patients and guests courtesy of our Activities Department!
